Our customer plans on running his shop on PCs using a vt220 terminal emulation program and on vt510 dumb tubes. We have a new system being developed on Forms 4.0 and the developers test every screen on a dumb tuve as they develop. We have found a small snag though concerning mapping the keyboard. While Oracle Terminal 2.0 seems to work when you rebind the keys to what you want, the new keybindings do not seem to exist when you execute.
We talked to Oracle support and they said (in a very polite manner) that they worked just fine. A couple of days later they called us back and said they had duplicated the error! They even created a patch for Oraterm, but it doesn't matter since the real problem is in the resource files delivered with the product. They do not have a fix for the resource files as of yet.
You might want to check into how well Oraterm 2.0 works on your platform. We are on Pyramid DC/OX which is pretty much the standard UNIX system V version of ORACLE.
