I checked with Oracle UK today, they now cannot give me an availability date for CASE 5.1 on Sun UNIX. The delays they say are due to the US; until they get notification from the States they are not prepared to give me a release date.

As I said before, CASE on UNIX is farce. It seems as if Oracle really have no intention of releasing on UNIX and the PC client is not an option for everyone.

Oracle have released the beta version on UNIX for those who are desparate. My experience to date is, you must really be desparate otherwise do not touch it. We have it on site but have had endless trouble installing; we have had conflicting advice from Oracle support and the general level of documentation and support to get it up and running is very poor.
