Have you looked at something like uniVerse from Vmark Software? They have several sites running over a 1000 active users, and they scale well with SMP's. Not sure if it specifically handles that kind of load, but it's worth checking into. New York Public Library runs on universe, for example. Vmark's at 800-486-9636. Anheuser Busch also runs Vmark products, but Vmark has two different database products, and I'm not sure which one Busch runs. I consult using universe all the time, but personally I've never done anything nearly that big, usually nothing bigger than 20 gig at most. Good luck.
