Oracle isn't shoving Windows down anyone's throat (and thank goodness! :) ). Oracle, like most other software vendors, has more development resources on the Windows platform since that is where the lionshare of the desktop marketplace is. It is only logical that products would see the light of day first from the development groups with the most resources. CDE2 will be available on the Macintosh as will Personal Oracle7 and the Workgroup Server.
Since I don't deal with UNIX (outside of AUX) here, I can't comment on any other platforms.
I'm a Mac bigot, and proud of it! :-)
