Hi Dan,
A lot of our Storage Computer users (both Oracle and other DBs) in France and Germany have been attaching both HP 700s and 800s to their RAID 7 disk arrays. (You can attack up to 12 different vendor hosts simultaneously to the same disk array to share data.) Most of our HP users seem to prefer the HP and Seagate drives. Details would be available from our Central Europe headquarters at 49 619 599600. I understand that you can also run a RAID 7 demo online over the HP network from HP Germany headquarters in Boeblingen.
