Vendor's names wanted

I'm running Oracle 7 on Windows NT. Oracle was purchased from Intergraph Corporation as a database engine for their Modular Geographic Environment (MGE) (we're developing a Geographic Info System). I'd like find info on SQL*Plus and will accept input (good or bad) on similar packages. I also need to buy SQL*Net. The draw back of not dealing directly with Oracle is that I'm not sure what Oracle developed and third party products are out there and what are the pluses/minuses.
Any one have a vendor they want to suggest?
