Oracle has 4 ORACLE7 DBMS; ORACLE7 for UNIX, ORACLE7 for PC, ORACLE Workgroup Server, and ORACLE for Windows 3.1.

ORACLE7 for UNIX is for enterprize level, which has basic DBMS functions, distributed database option, parallel server option, and parallel query option.

ORACLE7 for PC is good for Department level integrated database system. This server has all of basic function that UNIX ORACLE server has, and it is supporting till 96 users.

Oracle Workgroup Server (OWS) was designed for small group computing (2 user to 25 users). TCP/IP is not supported.

ORACLE for Windows 3.1 is designed for personal database system. I don't think that Oracle sells several personal Oracle products which you wrote.

The most important advantage for using ORACLE is 100% compatible among several ORACLE database server products. When you develop the application using ORACLE for Windows 3.1, then you can use this application with ORACLE7 Server for UNIX or PC.

ORACLE for Windows 3.1? I don't know.

>is oracle trying to be microsoft?

I think they want every data a corporation has to put into database. So every people can find information from DBMS.
