No, if you look in $FND_TOP/bin you'll find a shell-script entitled 'FNDPRINT'. This is the driver responsible for printing.
It parses the arguments that the Concurrent Manager passes to it, then calls a printer program called $FND_TOP/bin/FNDPRPRT which does the actual printing. You can hack FNDPRINT about all you like to get it to do what you want.
I recently hacked it to alter foreign characters from Oracle into the correct mappings for the printers we have, plus you can let it print to tcp ports, which you'll need to do with Novell. Although, the TCP port information is more a problem at the operating system layer.
