Re: Oracle 7.1 and Package Failure

Thanks y'all for the help. Our rush to get Oracle 7.1 installed and tested (we skipped 7.0) and the holidays have our brains a bit scrambled! The message said "warning" so we never though about "error"!  

By the way, the error seems to be a misreading of the docs. It appears that a labeled END statement ( as in "END package_name") on the CREATE PACKAGE statement is optional. In actual fact it happens to be a bad thing to do! As soon as the labels were removed, everything worked. The errors, in that typically charming Oracle way, sort of hinted at it! (7.1.3.2.0).
