I don't know if this will help, but its an idea!
I recently implemented a Japanese system using a SUN as the server and using PC's with DOS for Japanese, Windows for Japanese and a Windows TCPIP tool. Windows dealt with the input in either English or Japanese. The Japanese input was ened into a special windows field at the bottom of the screen and on pressing RETURN it was transferred to the Informix form.
Maybe there is a version of Windows for ??? that handles right to left input. u would also need to use Informix ALS for double byte chars. I don't pretend to know if this is all possible, but it may be an avenue to explore!
