OCI, Multiple Logons, Solaris threads, and the 29 steps

Has anybody tried this (deadly?) mix before: in V7 when you try (according to one of our customer) map a thread per logon it seems that what ever you do, you bomb at the 29th consecutive write/commit (and this independently of *what* you write in)?
