I've transfered a forms23 application from IBM host VM/CMS to my mac and generated it with forms4 without any error, but then, who really wants an old block mode application with these funny 2.3 triggers in a GUI environment? But anyway, it works. Also an inp file from VMS forms3 transfered to AIX and generated it under forms3 and it worked. I also transfer a dmp file in binary mode from VM/CMS (ver 6.0.32) to my sun and import it there in a 7.0.12 database and it works and as I have set my NLS_LANG env and the sun database is with the character set iso-8859, I get all my chars converted, even german umlauts. I've alos successfully imported a dmp file from a PC Oracle into my sun database and it worked so portability of Oracle is a big Yes-Yes.
