I think "one of your guys" is stoned. He may be thinking about a specific product (thought I doubt it) or he may be talking about Oracle's Porting structure (which is more likely). There are about 4 or 6 platforms on Oracle's A list. These are the very first systems that new products ported to. Sun and Vax are on that list because they are platforms that initial development is actually done on.

I don't think SCO is on the A list but it is absolutly on the B list and will ALWAYS be on some list as long as they keep their sales numbers up. The worst case senario is that you will have to wait a few months for the newest toy.

Finally he may be thinking about a particular version of SCO that will be desupported not ALL version. There is some truth to that because they have recently desupported Xenix. But if your running Xenix you have bigger problems than Oracle dropping support on you. :-}
