Oracle Support Doesn't

They claim that they will get back with you in one business day. In reality, some kind of alert goes off at Oracle 90 days in the future and then they call you. We opened a tar, worked around it and forget it. We finally got a call back from Oracle 90 days after opening it (this has happened more than once).
We finally got fed up and Oracle gave us the following solution: Have one of their people on site as a consultant full-time. Not even Microsoft has that much gall! "If you want support from us, throw another $300,000 over the fence and we will put a guy on-site . . ." I could just see Microsoft or Borland trying that kind of thing: "I'm having problems with Microsoft Word 6.0" "Well, for $300,000 we will put a guy on-site . . ." It is amazing the gall that Oracle has. Their lack of support is OUR problem! Received on Sun Sep 11 1994 - 03:27:08 CEST
