help: datafile naming convetion for MS-DOS

Hi everyone,

I am using a stand alone version of Oracle 6 on MS-DOS.

I am trying to expand my tablespace by using alter tablespace command, which needs name of the datafile to be added. I would like to know the datafile name convention on MS-DOS. I used .ora extention but when I logon next time, I get error:
"error opening database file 'filename'; invalid filename specification".

Please help.
