Alex,

      I would ask yourself if you can afford a non-media related failure, such as a bug that causes corruption (rare, but not impossible), or a user error (e.g. Dropping or deleting some valuable information).

      With Archiving on (and of course frequent backups), you can always RECOVER UNTIL a point prior to non-media failure.
