HELP: Oracle as a reservation system

Hello,

We're considering developing a computerized reservation system. Initially we'll tie in around 30 operators and eventually to about 15 bookings per second peak, or maybe about 75 total transactions per second at peak times.

Any comments on using Oracle as the core database to achieve this ? Anyone with CRS and Oracle experience ? We're leaning about on an Intel multiprocessor platform, such as the Sequent computers.
