I do not have the ProC manual with me now but as far as I recall you should do precompilation with the '-dbms v6' flag. Using '-mode oracle' will not do it. This fix is for version 7.
The question remains what should be done with the programs that do not check for null indicator variable, when the new releases of ProC are coming out. I hope that Oracle does not expect me to change xxxxx k lines of the code to comply with that check, in the case that later releases of ProC do not support such behavior.
