We use VB 3.0 through Q+E's MultiLink/VB to go against a HUGE Oracle 7 database. No problems & acceptable performance.

We considered the Dynaset stuff, did a short eval. and realized that the >50:1 performance improvement of MultiLink/VB was the way to go. The eval was done by creating 2 identical mini-apps (one for each environment) and comparing the functionality & user response time.
