Hi all,
I just discovered OCI........wow....I love it! =8-O I wish I had looked at it earlier. Much more straightforward for me then Pro*C.
In any case, I am using the OSDC call to get column widths from the tables in question and then create buffers that are big enough to store incoming data. I want to create a linked list of buffers with n number of buffers. How can I get thee number of fields in the select-list? Or do I just incrementing the select-list field number until I get some kind of error message....what message?
Secondly, can I put entire PL/SQL blocks into a context area and execute it with OCI?
Thanks in advance
