Queries and Charting for ODBC Databases
Power Graph combines a powerful visual query tool with seamless, state-of- the-art presentation graphics. Running under Windows, Power Graph can connect directly to any ODBC database, allowing you to issue a query to display your data and to create a variety of full-color 2D and 3D graphs directly from your data. Power Graph can take advantage of any printer or font that you have installed within Windows, which gives you the flexibility and control you demand in a graphical product.
ODBC Flexibility
Power Graph can connect to any type of database that exists on your system, as long as an ODBC driver is installed within Windows for each type of database system you wish to use. Most PC and mainframe databases have ODBC drivers available from a variety of sources.
As your company grows and its database needs change, Power Graph's query and graphing tools can still be utilized. Your investment in Power Graph is protected, no matter what changes occur within your database system. And since all database access is read-only, you can rest assured that absolutely nothing in your database will be changed by using Power Graph.
Advanced Data Queries
Queries are created through an easy point-and-shoot method. Little or no typing is required in order to create sophisticated queries. Power Graph's query builder has two separate components: a standard query and a statistical query generator. Data can be selected from any table or column within the database.
Both query types can utilize the custom filter selector, which allows you to filter your query to get the desired data, using your mouse and only minimal typing. The Browse Data feature allows you to point directly at the data you want to retrieve while you are creating your query.
Sorting your result data is also an easy process. Simply click on the columns you wish to sort by, followed by the direction of the sort (ascending or descending).
Generated queries can be saved and recalled at any time with the click of the mouse. Any future changes to your data will be instantly reflected in your query result the next time you recall it.
Statistical Data Queries
The statistical query generator allows you to create SUM, MAX, MIN, AVG and COUNT statistics completely by mouse. Aggregate functions with complete control over data grouping are only a click away.
Answers to questions such as "How many sales of this product were made this month?" or "How much volume did this product account for compared to other product sales?" are easily created without any programming or modification to your database.
Query Results
Once a query is issued, the resulting data is displayed in a Windows style spreadsheet on your screen. The query viewer has a sizable column feature that allows you to tailor the view of your data. Your data can then be copied to the Windows Clipboard in a variety of formats for easy insertion into other Windows applications. Also, your query can be modified at this point, to get the precise result data set you are looking for. Then, it's time to graph!
Powerful Graphing
Power Graph can take your query and create a number of different types of graphs with a few clicks of your mouse. Creating a graph is as easy as clicking on the data columns you wish to graph, selecting the legend column, selecting the graph type, and finally clicking on the rows from your query to include in the graph. Up to twelve columns and twelve rows can be graphed at one time.
Your graph will then be instantly created in full color. Every aspect of Power Graph has been tuned to work perfectly with all video resolutions and monitors, so your graphs will look as good as your video setup can handle.
Power Graph's unique design allows you to toggle back-and-forth between your graph and the query result spreadsheet. For example, if you see some data that you don't want in your graph, simply switch back to the query result window to remove the rows or columns that you don't want to graph. Returning to the graph screen will instantly recreate your graph with the new data. Creating presentation graphs has never been this easy!
Power Graph allows you complete control over the graph type and style. Graph types such as Bar Charts, Pie Charts and Area Charts can be in 2D or 3D. Other available graph types include the Line Chart, Log-Linear Chart, 3D Tape Chart, Polar Chart and even a High-Low-Close Chart, providing a full range of graphing capability. Each graph type has a variety of styles that you can select to fine-tune the appearance of your graph. For example, available bar chart styles include clustered, stacked, stacked percentile, Z-axis clustered and horizontal, and in your choice of 2D or 3D. Switching between graph types and styles requires only a few mouse clicks.
You also have complete control over any text on the graph, such as graph titles, legend text, and data axis labels. You can modify the text displayed, as well as the font, style and size. Power Graph can use any font within Windows, including TrueType. You can also select to have a current date and time stamp placed on your graph to identify exactly when the graph was created.
Power Graph will create a full-color Windows bitmap of your graph. Once you are satisfied with your graph, you can save it to file, directly print it, or copy it to the Windows Clipboard. Once in the Clipboard, your graph can be instantly pasted into many other Windows applications, including wordprocessors and paint programs. You can easily create stunning documents for custom reports or mailings in this fashion. A saved graph (or any other Windows bitmap file) can be viewed at any time within Power Graph.
Custom Help System
Power Graph comes with a custom help system designed to deliver answers your questions, whenever and wherever you need help. Context-sensitive help topics are available on every screen in the program. Also, you can search the help system for any keyword you desire assistance with. Help topics can be annotated for instant retrieval, or printed for your convenience. All Power Graph documentation is on-line, so no manuals clutter your office space.

The product comes with a sample database and tutorial designed to get you up to speed quickly. Spending five minutes taking the tutorial is all it takes to learn all about Power Graph's powerful yet easy-to-use features.
Multi-User Version
