Replicating a DB via archive logging ?

Yup. Constantly applying archived transaction logs on a remote database as they are archived. Wasn't easy, but is the BEST backup recovery scheme possible.

I have the remote copy of Oracle in recover mode, and use perl to sit on top of SQLDBA, feeding logs as they arrive. Received on Wed Jun 08 1994 - 23:53:00 CEST
