Hi. If I have mailed you these questions directly, please forgive this 2nd burst. I have a Netware 3.11/Oracle 6.0.36 NLM server instance currently running on an SPX/IPX TR network. I would like to split my production & development into two and migrate all the DEV tablespaces to another instance. Some have told me "no problemo"; others "no way!". Is there a way to have two separate .NLM instances running on the same Netware LAN on two seperate physical file servers?

I have been told by some that Netware cannot support more than one SQL*Net SPX "listener" process on the same LAN. Others have said the only limitation is the number of instances on any one physical server.

I am willing to look at any alternative right now including:

1. An SCO server running native SPX/IPX,
2. Accessing a 2nd Netware server via TCP/IP through ODI on the workstation,
3. Going full UNIX & TCP/IP on the 2nd instance and leave the 1st IPX/SPX,
4. Polishing up my resume and checking out the unemployment office.

Any help you can offer in this regard would be greatly appreciated. Again, if I've already e-mailed you directly on this question, please forgive me. --Brad Gould <blgould_at_panix.com>   Received on Sat Jun 04 1994 - 00:54:03 CEST
