Hi,

we have some problems using the help-system and I have a general very simple question about installation SQL*Net. Our environment consists HP 9000 workstations  using HP-UX 9.01 and Oracle V7 Server 7.0.13. First of all the simple question. Is it neccessary to install SQL*Net V2, if we work only with V1 (means entry in /etc/services and startup of orasrv) or exist there any dependencies between V1 and V2 (maybe relinking reasons) ??

The second question is quite difficult. We have some extreme problems using the help-system of SQL*Plus. First, there exist no help for each topic. Means, I can get help for e.g. command create (help create) but no help available for the select statement. Second, if I interrupt help-output with pressing Ctrl-C the actual line is redrawn in an endless loop, and I must kill the whole sqlplus-process (really violent, I know). This works also if pause is set to ON. Oracle support has send us a patch-release, but error still exists.

Thanks in advance for your help, Timo.
