This is one of the *very* few cases I've seen where ignoring our requirements for a specific Network API version *seems* to work OK. Don't count on this being "normal" behaviour for future versions of SQL*Net.

Neither PC/TCP v2.2 nor v2.3 use mftp.exe. Both versions use winsock.dll. I can verify that SQL*Net for Windows 1.1.7.8 seems to work OK with PC/TCP v2.3 even though it was built with v2.2. If not available yet, the newest SQL*Net v1 for windows with official support for PC/TCP v2.3 should be available very soon.
