About using kermit for terminal emulation to talk with Oracle. I've been doing that a lot with PC's and while the kermit supports vt220 and vt320 I found I had to create a init file for kermit to insure all the keys got mapped the way Oracle expected. I would expect the Mac version would have the same problem, vt function key codes don't match the function key codes that Oracle expects. Now if they just had better tools to manage the terminal interfaces (ORA*term sucks) that understand things like termcap or terminfo then life would be better. Anyway I have an init file that works good for our training classes on random PC's and lets users use SQLforms, menus, and even reportwriter.
