If you have a few hours left try CB++ and tell me your expierience. I tried it on our SUNs with Oracle 6.X and it seemed to work fine. If you have troubles to build it with xlC I can help you.

CB++ is available for ftp: ftp.x.org:/contrib/CB++.0.1.tar.Z
