We are using SQL*Net for client access to an Oracle 7.0 Server running on an Alpha. Most of the clients are PC and MAC based, which appears to force us into using Oracle for user authentification...question is: how are people generally administering this? How can you assign users "temporary" passwords and force them to change them, how can you force changes at intervals, like every 6 months?? It seems like we will need to provide some GUI widget whose only purpose in life is to screen the ALTER command from users and give them a simple USERNAME/OLD PASS/NEW PASS/VERIFY type screen for this maintenance. This still doesn't solve the first two problems though, any ideas??
