Don't know anything about this.

I've never heard of this windows application, not sure what it
	   does.

This does provide ad hoc query facilities from Windows on a PC. However, this software is really designed to allow MIS-type applications to be written with a simple point-and-click type interface for users who do not need to understand how or where the data is stored in the database. F&T is manufactured by a US company called Trinzic. It is licensed in the UK by a company called European Software Publishing. Try phoning ESP on 44 628 23453 (assuming you are dialing from outside the UK or 0628 23453 inside the UK. We do use this product but not as an ad hoc query tool. (I do not have any contacts for Trinzic)

Another possible candidate is a product called Business Objects which sets out to provide ad hoc facilites in a Windows environment. Relevant telephone numbers for them are:

	44-628 487 722 UK Telephone
	44-628 488 722 UK Fax

	1-415 854-1500 US Telephone
	1-415 854-4737 US Fax

Business Objects is cheaper than Forest & Trees (with more limited & different functionality) but may be better for an 'ad hoc query' application. We do not use this yet but I am attending a demo next week.
