Problem : Hanging orasrv - HELP

ARCH : SUN OS 4.1.3 with all patches
ORACLE 7.0.12 (with all bugs)
VISUAL WORKS V 1.0 with adapted ORACLE V6 DB-Driver
SQL*Net V2
Problem : When connect/disconnect is carried out in rapid succession from Visual
works over the net, orasrv appears to hang so that no other connections
to ORACLE are possible over SQL*Net. Our sledgehammer solution to date
has been to kill the orasrv process and restart it. However we would really
like to try and solve the problem - any ideas ?
