OK - enough have voted on ASCII versus WinHelp format for the non-DBA FAQ. Basically 65:35 in favor of ASCII.
The advantages of hypertext were wanted by a significant number tho. Do I got thinking .... what about an ASCII HYPERTEXT format.
Such a beastie exists in the jargon file and the vh (VolksHypertext) program obtaininable from most GNU archie sites

        e.g. archie.au:~ftp/gnu
"Topics" are enclosed in :: on the left of line and "hotspots" by
curly braces - otherwise it is plain readable ASCII.

So.... how do you all feel about
(1) Current ASCII Q&A format
vs
(2) VH format

nb: The vh program is written in C. If you do not have the jargon file, GET IT - good for more than a few laughs and you'll learn a few things. If you do not have a C compiler, then you can still read the jargon file after uncompressing it. Most sites these days use gzip compression for GNU stuff. OH YEAH - trim your replies - My disk allocation here is a MEANSLEY 5M.
