Oraperl v2 on dg/ux????

We're trying to compile oraperl v2.4 on a dg/ux platform. Perl compiles with no problems. We have Perl v4.036. I've configured the oraperl makefile with the locations of the perl source as well as oracle home and the oracle pro*c libraries. The make aborts almost immediately while trying to compile oracle.c. Has anyone successfully built oraperl on a dg/ux machine? If so, please send me some mail.
