what is difference between 1NF and 2NF

According to a reference book, the definition of 1st Normal Form and 2nd Normal Form are:

1st Normal Form: Attributes may only have simple values. All non-key attributes then functionally depend on the key of the relation

2nd Normal Form: All non-key attributes are in 1NF and they are fully functionally dependent on the combined key of the relation, but not on key components.

Would any experts like to email to explain to me, please ??
