   In terms of the RDBMS, I've never used an IBM mainframe    version of it. Connectivity may be an issue though . . .

   We UNIX, OS/2 and Netware bigots will definitely shy away    from the big iron. I doubt there are many apps out there    which cannot be implemented on one or more RS/6000s rather    that on one big 3090. (IMHO)

   For applications, however, I do know that SQL*Forms on    a 3270 terminal are quite a pain to devlop.
