OK,.. so there was not an overwhelming response to my earlier post about a bug with Motif Forms 3.0,..so I'll try something less obscure...
First the essentials:
Platform HP-9000/715 O.S. HP-UX 9.0.1 RDBMS V6.0.36.7.1 FORMS 3.0.16.12.4 Motif Toolkit 01.00.20.00.06
I'm using the HOST command to run a .KSH script that transfers a file (FTP) to a PC. If the FTP fails, a status is returned from the shell. I'd like the Form to receive the status, so I can raise a message displaying the error,... Is this possible? Is there anyway for a shell to pass information to a Form?
Also, is it possible to use the extended character set within a Form? I'd like to use some control characters in non-base table fields.
Thanks in advance,...
-Brian
