Database Administrators - help please!

Granting extra resource privileges

I accept that this is a rather specialised question but any help would be extremely appreciated:

The problem is that my resource privilege or space quota is insufficient for adding new tables to my ORACLE account. I desperately need this extra space if my dissertation is to make any progress, but unfortunately our database administrator and all the ORACLE expertise in our university are on vacation for the next couple of weeks!!

Other technical staff are available to increase my allocation but do not know how. We have Oracle Version 6.0 running on a DEC VAX 6300. If you have experience in these matters could you please mail me. If necessary I can pass on extra information about our system.
