problem deleting menu's and items in msqlmenu50

I am unable to delete menus or menu items in msqlmenu50. I am running on a sparcstation, UNIX 4.1.1 etcetera under x-windows. Several sessions with going through the terminal definitions etcetera have proven unfuitful. Is there anybody out there who has an answer to my question? Oracle support simply tells me to set the terminal def. properly, and the keys should all work properly. Your help is greatly appreciated.
