Hi all,

We are having some problems with Oracle 6.0.36 on an HP 9000/750 running HP-UX 8.07. Actually, our problems seem to be with our Forms setup.

Problem 1 is our inability to draw a line/box in the Forms screen painter. We can select the endpoints OK, but then when we press the line/box draw key, nothing happens.

Problem 2 may be related to Problem 1 and has to do with the creation of Help screens in Forms. We have two levels of help defined (basic and dettailed), both accessible by pressing F1. When "msqlforms30" is invoked and our help functions are used, the help screen (a Motif window) will not go away with a carriage return. It will, however, close properly with a mouse click on the "OK" button. The real funny part of this is that after exactly 28 tries with the carriage return, Oracle dies and sends us back to the Unix prompt after dumping a core. When "runforms30" is invoked and the same help screens/functions are invoked on the same form, acarriage return _does_ make the help screen go away!

Could these two problems be related to our TERM settings, display definitions, or keymappings? Our TERM has been tried with "hpterm" and "hpterm1" (the manual says hpterm1 is required for line/box graphics).

What do we have set wrong? Any insight will be _greatly_ appreciated and win me _big_ brownie points with my boss!!
