Posted for a friend with an oracle 'problem':
Our HP mini (running Oracle) crashed, and trashed the file system. The machine was rebooted, and a backed up version of all the system and application files (including the oracle files) was re-installed. Everything works fine, except that when trying to open an oracle database, the following message is produced:
ORA-01122: database file xxx failed verification check.
The information in the database file is inconsistent with the information in the configuration file.
Note:
When the files were restored, they were restored with their original date/time,
access modes, etc.
Any help would be be appreciated. Thanks.
