Archive getting stuck...

What causes the Archiver to get stuck?

I'm aware of the obvious reason -- running out of disk space, but that's not my problem. I've got over 2G free disk space, but the Archiver regularly gets stuck..

I'd really like to use this v6 feature because of the recovery granularity, but not at the expense of the database halting every other day...
