Hi,
I have recently installed Oracle v6.0.36 and SQL*Net, DECNet, SQLPlus etc. to my DECstation 3100. I have also installed DEC PATHWORK v4.1 to my 486 pc and networked it with the DECstation using ethernet card. Since I am totally new to this client/server environment, I need you all gurus' help badly. My questions are:
- On the Oracle server, how do I assign user account and change password? When I connect SQL*Plus to Oracle database, I use system/manager as id and password, where are this info stored?
- What kind of tools/utilities does PATHWORK provide for accessing Oracle server from PC/client? How?
- When using SQL*plus, how do I get info of a database' content such as a list of tables, columns of the table, data type of the cloumn?
Your help will be very much appreciated.
