I was doing some development with SQL*Forms/SQL*Menu under OSF/Motif lately. I first done some migration of existing forms. The problem is not the product but the way GUIs are working vs caracter mode terminal. The product is ok (almost no bugs with DEC Ultrix 4.2A, OSF/Motif 1.1.3 and ORACLE V6.0.36). You'll have to redo your forms if you have multiple blocks on 1 page since block synchronisation is not working with the use of a mouse (you can go from a field in block 1 to a field in block 2 using the mouse and don't hit any key so the key-triggers used for the synchronization won't fire).

So don't make any commitment to your users since you have converted ALL the forms first. Your local Oracle sale rep. can provide you a paper on how to develop bit-mapped applications with SQL*Forms V3 that will be easily migrate to SQL*Forms V4.

If you have specifics questions, contact me.
