HELP !!!! oracle installation doubts

     We are installing ORACLE in a client/server configuration with
     the RDBMS on the server and the application development products
     on another machine that will be the client.

     As such we have installed the RDBMS and SQL*NET TCP/IP and SQL*PLUS
     on the server and now want to install only SQL*NET and FORMS,report
     writer, sql*plus, pl/sql and other application development products 
     on the client machine. I have orasrv running on the server machine
     and have set TWO_TASK on client to T:igis2.tamu.edu:spb1 
   
     I'm getting the following error while running oracle.install
     on the client.....
     
      ORACLE CORE product must be installed when
       installing against remote database.
       Please install ORACLE CORE and restart installation.


      I'll be glad if anyone out there could tell me where I am getting it
      wrong?.....
