I would like to get some feedback from any ORACLE for UNIX users out there concerning the way that keyboard functions for Oracle products are listed and described in the documentation (e.g. an Installation and User's Guide). Currently, for all supported terminals and products, the documentation includes a diagram of the keyboard layout (with keytop text describing the functions) and a list of other keystrokes and functions. My questions are:

  • are these listings and diagrams useful, or do you never refer to them?
  • have you found the listings to be accurate?
  • do you prefer to press Esc k (for example) to get a listing (and perhaps redirect the output to a file or printer)

All feedback would be most welcome (emails directly to me please), as we do want to make sure we are making what you, the customer, needs.

Thanks
