Well this doesn't seem to be working particularly well for you.

But getting back to your topic ... a value that works with TNSPING should work for connecting. A value that does not work with TNSPING will not work for a connection.

Comment out everything out of your SQLNET.ORA and then reintroduce them one at a time. The lines:

 > names.default_domain = world
 > name.default_zone = world

Are almost undoubtedly part of the problem and most certainly were not created by netca. Where did they come from?
