Hello,

[Quoted] I did RTFM and google and so on and found nothing really answering. Is the property
"Record Group Query Size" of a Record Group
measured in record counts ? bytes ? words ? inches ? fahrenheit ? ... By default it is set to 20. 20 what ?

Background:
I recently solved a LOV/RG problem
simply by step-by-step setting
Record Group Query Size
of the underlying RG from 20 to 1000.
It was a LOV for the classic Person Name Search that had problems by typing in full names in the LOV calling search field ...
"Smi" -> 'Smi%' worked, "Smith" -> 'Smith%' did not.
When I set it to 100 I had a kind of shift of the problem:
"Schlot" -> 'Schlot%' worked, "Schlottermeier" -> 'Schlottermeier%' did not.
Thus I set it to 1000.
Fine: the Problem is solved for now, but I am still confused ...

My question is very general:
[Quoted] What is "Record Group Query Size" ?
[Quoted] Why is it so badly documented (I dredged my 4 books on forms ...) ?

BTW: Forms 5/6i on OEE 8.1.7.3.

Any comments greatly appreciated,
