How to import 902 portal schemata to 10g?

The saga so far:
I created a cool little demo on a 9iASR2 with the mid and inf tiers on a single machine. I exported the portal schemas as described in http://metalink.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/ml2_documents.showDocument?p_database_id=NOT&p_id=228516.1 (note explains how to do it with regular exp/imp, not the Portal thingie). I went to do a proper configuration on two machines, mid-tier decided to emulate burning Eucalyptus in patching. Everyone advised going to AS10g, wiped both machines, 10g installed no problem.
So now how do I get my portlets back? The Windows install guide ( .../migrate.904/migrate/appaproc.htm#BEJGDBFA and another place, too )talks about an upgrade.pl script, but support tells me it won't be out until the end of the month. Support also tells me I will be an unhappy camper if I try to hack it myself, because the structure of portlets are different in 10g, so I don't want to try anything simple like importing to another set of schemata and sucking out the packages that I had created.
Any advice? Should I bother trying to find and decompose the unix upgrade.pl and hack the part of the upgrade it does on my packages? Or does it even do that? Or just go back to my original design docs and start over from scratch?
