I'm not surprised. There seems to be little new to do that wouldn't require a major investment. And there is not enough interest in the product among developers and DBAs to justify it.
These days everyone prefers to bang code first and specify requirements later. Designer requires a methodology and training. Both rare commodities in most organizations. (and IMLTHO it writes lousy Forms code).
