hi,

We've created about 70 (more added everyday) Discoverer reports that we need to expose in portal as part of a "management dashboard" type of project. The standard Discoverer Worksheet Portlet from Oracle renders a single "hard coded" worksheet defined when creating each portlet. In other words if there were 70 Discoverer reports, I'd have to create 70 portlets to expose them all.

Any ideas on how to build a SINGLE portlet that renders discoverer worksheets based on a parameter (page or portlet), or session variable, etc.? Basically we want the same functionality as the Discoverer Worksheet Portlet, but need it to be parameter driven somehow.

So far, we've tried several angles:
1) adding a web-clipping portlet which clips from a Discoverer Viewer URL. This works OK except you still can't pass parameters to the web-clipping portlet.
2) using the Omni Portlet (which allows parameter passing), using XML data returned from discoverer viewer URL, however we're not having success applying the stylesheets.
3) if all else fails, I guess we could write a j2ee/jsp portlet that gets a sessions variable, requests appropriate XML from Discoverer, then applies the stylesheets to render the portlet.

We've just installed 9iAS this week, so as of now we're caught up on patches, etc.

Thanks in advance,
