Unable To Install Devloper Suite

The steps I took are as follows:
-Downloaded Developer Suite from Internet and unzipped
-Started Universal Installer
-Set source path to %Developer Suite Home%stage\products.jar
-Set dest name to "C:\Oracle\Ora8"
-Set dest path to "C:\Oracle\Ora8"
-Click next
-Select "Rapid Application Development" option
-Click next

Then the install program crashes, without any message. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.
